Orcal is the elder of Xion and serves as its overseer. He is one of the few people in Xion that Adam is close with.
Biography[]
"Orcal is the leader of Xion. He is a mysterious and wise old man, who is more often than not called the Prophet.
He appeared out of the blue, uniting the people and building the city of Xion. His past is a mystery. He intends to help EVE if she agrees to save Xion, but his true intention is still a mystery just like his past.
The war between the new humankind and the old humankind, the creation of Mother Sphere and artificial humans, the truth behind the evolution of humankind... Orcal confirms the cruel truth that the Naytibas, the archnemeses of humans, are actually the true humans. Now, he promises EVE to inform her of other truths that she must accept.
With Xion destroyed by Raven, Orcal also sustains fatal injuries. Sacrificing his life by handing EVE his Alpha Core, Orcal keeps his promise and tells EVE the truth.
The first ever fusion, the first Alpha Naytiba, the One Who Repents, the Prophet of Xion... yes, Orcal is all those things, but he will forever be remembered as the one who built and saved Xion from destruction and gave the Angel a way forward."
Orcal was the first Alpha Naytiba, and the first failure. Instead of waiting for the failure to meet his fate, the Elder Naytiba blessed him with a second chance. Since then, Orcal has been the Elder Naytiba's close friend and has prepared the Cradle for its day to come. Though a friend of such an important Naytiba, he is also a devoted Prophet of Xion. He was likely a respected figure before he turned into a Naytiba... probably.
Characteristics[]
Personality[]
Orcal is a soft-spoken old man who is always seen sitting in the center of the Presence Chamber. He is described by most of the townspeople as kind and wise, always putting Xion and its people first. While he only helps EVE under the condition that she gets the Hyper Cells to power Xion, he also seems to genuinely care about revealing the true nature of the world to both EVE and Lily in order to have them live harmoniously with Xion's citizens. However, he also keeps many of these secrets hidden from the citizens of Xion, most likely to prevent distraction when facing Naytibas or to prevent stoking fear across the city. These secrets sometimes lead people to resent him and the Sentinels, and these dissenters have been stated to form rebellion factions that either have tried to overthrow Orcal or choose to live in their own communities outside of Xion.
Though Orcal is a peace-loving pacifist now, this wasn't always the case. As he was dying, Orcal reveals to EVE and Lily that he was once just as bloodthirsty as any of the other Alpha Naytibas lamenting that he had killed countless humans in his time before he'd ultimately been rescued and nursed back to health by them after a battle had nearly ended in his death.
Appearance[]
Orcal is an old man with many parts of his body replaced by machinery. He has a bald head with a red insignia on his forehead and a long, slightly tan beard. He has various wires and mechanical supports that presumably function as his vital organs and help him move around, in addition to an extra mechanical arm attached to his back. He also has the back half of his head connected to a device that most likely serves as the connection to the Personal Link, allowing him to scan the globe for Alpha Naytiba signals, and the Cradle, the resting place of Xion's citizens in stasis.
Powers and Abilities[]
While not specializing in combat, Orcal is basically the nerve center of Xion. Using his Personal Link, he is able to scan the globe for Alpha Naytiba signals and basically gives EVE and her friends a general direction to head in. He also presumably oversees the Cradle, in which Xion's citizens are gradually put into stasis to conserve power and resources in Xion before EVE arrived and started collecting Hyper Cells.
While not seen in-game, Orcal states that before he could control his Alpha Naytiba instincts, he slaughtered countless humans during the Final War. The extent of his skills and whether or not he had a separate Naytiba form is unknown.
