Naytibas are a species of malevolent monsters and the main antagonists of Stellar Blade that have defeated humanity in the war and forced them to leave Earth. The Eve Defense Force is tasked with fighting the Naytibas in an effort to reclaim Earth by sending in Airborne Squads.
Description[]
History[]
Naytibas appeared before the Final War. Before the events of the main storyline, there were two major wars; the Final War and the war between Andro-Eidos, a race created by Mother Sphere to kill humanity and replace them. During specific missions of the campaign we learn about Legacies, providing insight on what Naytibas and what Mother Sphere truly is.
According to the Legacies left behind by Raven of the 2nd Airborne Squad is that the Naytibas were once human. The war between Andro-Eidos and humans nearly caused the extinction of the human race, and the remaining humans hid in underground facilities, such as Altess Leviore, where they began experiments with human evolution. It was then that Naytibas were created and began to fight Andro-Eidos. The humans who became Naytibas are the result of humans giving up everything for strength and survival, learned from the Elder Naytiba.
According to a Document EVE discovers, log data reveals that the central computer, identified as the AI, RAFFY, worked alongside a group of humans identified as the Humanity Liberation Front, including one member known as Raphael, an admin. Their goal had been to defeat the Andro-Eidos and begun working to create the Naytibas through gene-genetic manipulation. At some point however, Mother Sphere discovered the location of the organization, where RAFFY was commanded to release the subjects despite their instability at the time to counter-attack the sent squad. Unfortunately, this caused a breach in quarantine and the release of the Naytibas who were incapable of identifying friend and foe.
And soon, the Final War began. Naytibas pushed back the Andro-Eidos, forcing them to evacuate to the colony and soon began to take over earth. Learned from the last Legacy left by Raven, Naytibas managed to get to the colony and almost succeed in wiping out Mother Sphere, however, she ejects all 30 space modules from the colony, taking the Naytibas with them. And soon, they crashed into the Earth. Disrupting ecosystems or destroying ecosystems entirely.
Soon after, the Naytibas began running amuck the Earth, spreading their contamination. Attacking the few Andro-EIdos and Humans that remained on Earth with the Elder Naytiba continuing to give birth to the species. Eventually, at some point, Mother Sphere began sending down the Eve Defense Force in an attempt to eradicate the Naytibas while Orcal gathered the few humans and Andro-Eidos left and built Xion as a final haven.
Behavior[]
The Naytibas are a vicious and violent race. They are known to be highly territorial and act akin to wild animals, being highly aggressive. Anybody that gets within a certain range will be attacked without hesitation. As such, while they may wander or simply stay still when nobody is in sight, they will become brutal at the slightest hint of them detecting human activity. However, while the vast majority of the Naytibas are animalistic, there are a few who could be considered more intelligent and cunning. Primarily, the Alpha Naytiba, alongside their leader.
According to the Elder Naytiba, ultimately, the Naytibas' feral behavior are the result of giving up everything but strength and survival. The result when it is revealed that this behavior was formed when the original humans gave up their humanity to become the Naytibas.
Ecology[]
Naytibas overall appear to be the dominant megafaunal lifeform on land following the Final War, as so far none have been seen living underwater. Much of their natural behaviors, along with their biological functions, are a mystery. However it is documented that most live as hunter-scavengers, competing with, or perhaps even preying upon, other Naytiba to survive. That said, some Naytibas demonstrate complex intra-specific cooperation and weapon crafting to aid in hunting whilst others are mainly solitary.

Trivia[]
- The Naytiba were previously called "NA:tives" in early previews of the game. It's meant to be the corruption of that very word of a "Native". As in "Native Earth denizens".
- There is evidence to suggest that the Naytiba's, like the Andro-Eidos, are techno-organic in nature.
- Some species, like the Stalkers and Gigas, have rotating blades incorporated into their biology that would be functionally impossible to grow from organic cells.
- Most Naytiba's epidermis (outer skin) seems inorganic like stone or gold, and some even display sculped decorations growing on parts of their bodies.
- Their ability to regenerate and evolve at such a rapid pace would be unfeasible in fully organic lifeforms.
- It's likely that Naytiba's are formed from a combination of genetic editing on human subjects and biomechanical nanotechnology.
- Some Naytiba's appearing as machines or robots with organic guts dripping out could be theorized as a way for their human ancestors to combat Mother Sphere;
- Mother Sphere, as a powerful artificial intelligence, could hack and reprogram any of mankind's weapons and turn them against them (as seen with Providence against EVE).
- Humans figured out a way to work around the reprogramming by becoming a form of Naytiba that physically puppeteered the machines from inside like a parasite, "reclaiming" their lost weaponry by force in a way that Mother Sphere couldn't easily counter.
