The Great Desert is the fifth major area in Stellar Blade.
Once a vast sea, the region was terraformed to create a city, which held an opera house where Enya once performed. Much like the Wasteland, the Great Desert’s Legion and Supply Camps are powered by a solar tower. The region was left barren and inhospitable by the Colony Extinction[1], which caused the sand to become contaminated and gave rise to Sand Disease, which causes the victim’s organs to harden and results in death if left untreated[2]. At some point in the past, the terraforming machinery malfunctioned, turning the entire region into the vast desert it is today, with a massive sandstorm raging perpetually over the ruins that dot the landscape[3]. Convicted criminals from Xion, primarily murderers, are banished to the Great Desert as punishment. There is a small oasis where Clyde spends his time fishing in the center of the region, and a short way to the north of that, the entrance to Abyss Levoire, a mysterious underground facility guarded by Shael.
EVE travels to the Great Desert to acquire the Hyper Cell within Abyss Levoire so that she can restore power to Xion, in turn allowing Orcal to aid her in locating Alpha Cores to complete her mission of eliminating the Elder Naytiba.
